MOAB (Management of aggressive behavior)

is an in-depth training program that teaches individuals how to recognize, and

reduce, and manage violent and aggressive behavior.

This course meets the California Assembly Bill 508 (AB - 508) mandating training for facilities, institutions and their employees in order to safeguard, protect and prevent incidents of violence within the Medical and Behavioral Healthcare setting

MOAB Objectives:

1) To teach principles, techniques and skills used to recognize , reduce, manage

anxious, aggressive and violent behavior.

2) Provide effective and compassionate methods of dealing with anxious or

aggressive people.

3) Gain personal empowermant through increased confidence and skills being

used during threatening situations.

4) Minimize potential for injury to you, bystanders, and the individual(s).

5) Reduce fear in stressful circumstances by increasing the ability to successfully

react.

6) Reduce liability risk for inadequate, unnecessary, or improper force used to

control aggressive and violent behavior.

Instructor:  Steve Flores

Steve Flores has been training employees in mental health and primary care

clinics,  churches, rehabilitation, and non-profit organizations since 2006.  Steve

teaches organizations and its employees techniques and how to be safe and not get

sued. Steve enables employees  to recognize danger and protect themselves from

injury with easy to learn methods. Steve has trained personnel that work in some

of the most dangerous areas of the Los Angeles Skid Row district as well as the

high crime areas of Boyle Heights.
